The UK's biggest real-world mpg dataset just went dark.
Honest John's Real MPG tool ran for over a decade and collected fill-up data from a quarter of a million drivers, the largest independent record of what UK cars actually do on UK roads. That URL now redirects to Drive, a used-car marketplace backed by Volkswagen Financial Services. The historic real-world fuel economy figures are no longer published there.
Same idea. New engine. Nobody's finance arm involved.
